What to do when a death occurs

 

Following a bereavement there are a lot of things to do and many people to contact. The procedure depends on the         circumstances surrounding the loss of a loved one, and on the next few pages we will try to cover the usual situations in which you may find yourself.

 

However the best person to ask would be your Funeral Director who will have had experience of many different cases and should have the expertise to help and advise you. Simply call us and we can help.

 

 

Types of Funerals

 

Many people leave clear instructions to their family as to what form the funeral should take. We are pleased to talk to you about the different   procedures required for your chosen way. There are many more forms required for a cremation.

 

About three quarters of funerals   carried out are cremation and one quarter burial. You can choose to have a stone on the grave after a burial or arrange with the          crematorium for a plaque or other form of memorialisation. We are pleased to help you and advise you at the time or afterwards.

Register a Death
